sick in the summer

And here I thought I could attribute my nausea last night at work to not eating enough when I took my antibiotics. But I wake up this morning to Drew's elbow in my face (ouch!) ... and then realized I was not only still nauseous as hell, but I had a headache to boot. And chills. And aches/pains. And I don't have a thermometer, but my guess is a fever to boot.

WHY?
It's been sunny in Maine! No sickness!

I'm debating calling out or just sucking it up and going to work because I really need the extra $100. But at the same time, I feel like shit and look like shit. I could possibly be contagious, and that's not good.

I'm really not hungry, but I'm making chicken noodle anyway. That's what you do when you're sick. You make soup and take a nap.

Of course, the flip side to this, and all my friends joke about it ... is that I'm pregnant and have nasty morning sickness. And I smile and roll my eyes and take comfort in the fact that no, that's not even a likely possibility.
