Hello, World

Song of the day: "Hello World" ... Lady Antebellum

I've never really been a fan of New Year's Resolutions. Why? Mostly because I make short term goals on a regular basis and the other end of it is that I've tried to be accepting of change, whether I knew it was coming or not. [Key word= try. I fail sometimes.] But... this year ... I guess I'll give it a shot.

In 2011 ... I think I'd like to make healthier choices. Between editing what I put in my mouth to being more active ... I want to be where I was in college: slim, trim and muscle'd out. I'm not overweight by any means, but I could certainly benefit from muscle toning.

I want to be less of a slacker/homebody.
I want to have most of our credit card debt tackled.
I want to have 90% of my student loan repaid. [Only another $3,000 to go!]
I want to find out this time next year ( we will be approx 6 months away from being DONE with recruiting duty) that our next duty location is going to be either the 8th & I Barracks (aka: Silent Drill Platoon) in Washington D.C  or MCAS Miramar in San Diego, California.
I really really really want a job in my field, even if it's part time. God willing and the creek don't rise: I'm convinced 2011 is the year for all this to happen.
I want to add a dog to our family. One that isn't fearful of men, housetrained, okay with an alpha kitty, young'ish and free of sight and/or hearing issues. Who knew that finding the "right" dog wasn't as easy as snapping your fingers?

As I said: I don't make new year's resolutions ... but I make goals.
