Educational Goals

I read somewhere that Washington D.C. has the highest concentration of PR professionals in the country. Additionally, they are also the highest paid professionals in the country. As such, I've asked Drew to reconsider moving to Quantico, VA instead of sunny San Diego (SNIFF!!) after this tour is complete.

If PR is going to be my career goal ... I've also reconsidered my educational goals. Johns Hopkins University has a PR/Media Relations emphasis in their MA for Communication that can be completed in person or 100% online. Although ... I'm a little curious. I've already taken a PR Management course, Crisis Communications, Communication Research, PR Writing I & II, Opinion Writing, Feature Writing

I think I would need to speak with an adviser to find out exactly the content of these courses, because I don't think I want to spend $40,000 for the exact same education I received at CSUF for half the cost. There's a reason CSU Fullerton's communications department has been hailed as one of the top 10 in the state and one of the top 20 in the country.

Johns Hopkins is great, I rode through there 3 weeks ago (I am in Virginia) and DC is very busy, but totally the place to be for PR; my aunt works there in PR.

Click on the "Blogs I'm Following" tab and underneath the list of all the blogs you currently follow, there should be a blue button that says "Add". Click on it, and add my URL: http://mainelytaryn.blogspot.com
