I keep getting asked by people if I'm "getting excited" for my wedding.
Here's the truth: I've been to 4 this year, two were 30 days apart... and my cousin's was the 25th of September, and mine is coming up on the 8th.
I think I'm wedding'ed out if that's possible.
That, and who the hell knew there was so much drama involved with planning a damn wedding?!
Here's the thing: I'm not exactly from Maine. I have roots in two totally different ends of the country. I have family in the MD/DC/PA/VA part of the country ... but I grew up in SoCal. And Drew is of course, a Marine and from Maine no-less, so his friends are all dispersed across the country.
I think in hindsight: it would have been better to get married in DC somewhere, because holy fried potatoes ... getting to Maine is EXPENSIVE and hard.
We're going to Orlando on a Disney vacation, by the way. I think I'll have fun the day of the wedding and even MORE fun on our honeymoon.
I don't know why people love weddings.
I think I only have the patience to do this once in my lifetime.
So if for whatever reason we don't work out? Next time around: I'm just getting married in court.
I'm so excited to hear all about the big day!! And it will all be more than worth it when The Day comes.. and is over with :)
