I love Summer, but ...

I'm tired of sweating my booty off in my apartment townhouse because someone (read: this kid) didn't feel it was ever going to be hot enough in Maine for a long enough period of time to warrant spending the $400+ for a portable air conditioning unit.

Yeah.
Way to go, T.
I mean sure, it's only been 2 or 3 weeks of God-awful humid weather that doesn't really hold a candle to what Texas, Florida or the rest of the south experiences ... but it's uncomfortable, know what I mean?

I love tanning.
And soaking up the rays.
But I'm ready for Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks. Bursts of cinnamon scents in my home. Pulling out my jeans, sweaters and furry Ugg boots. (Hey, they may be ugly as sin ... but holy crap are they toasty. And comfortable as anything!) I'm ready for our first wedding anniversary on October 8th. (See? I love fall so much that I bypassed my love of summer and swapped it for the beautiful colors of fall.)

I am not ready for snowstorms.
Waiting 10 minutes for my car to warm up.
Chipping all the ice off my windshields.
Walking the dog in a blizzard.

But I am very ready for pumpkins, squash, Halloween and brisk autumn air.

I'm an eternal summer girl ... but I love the transition to fall. Anyone else join me in my love of fall ?!
